Our stay was top notched from check in to check out. Although the lines were very long we did not mind, what's the rush your on vacation. The check in receptionist gave us a complimenary bottle of bubbly for our anniversay. Stayed in the Salone Suite, with turn down service and chocolates on the pillows. The casino bar made the best Lemon Drop martini that I have had in Vegas. Not every bartenders knows how to make one and just putting Lemon flavored Vodka is not all it takes. Won in the casino:-)
I love this hotel for the location and their rooms. As the sister hotel to the Bellagio, their suites are comparable without the price. No luck at their slots in all of our trips to Vegas so we no longer gamble here. Had one issue at check in, with a rude young lady who acted as if my right to ask for an upgrade was bothering her, even though their so called "directadvantage" program boast this option for booking online. She said there were no suites available at 3:10pm and not even pretending to look up room status on her computer. But after checking into our room and seeing the crappy location she gave us we called down to the front desk and spoke with a manager who in 5 minutes upgraded our room. This took a total of 15 minutes tops from lobby to our room. So what would you think?? The first 15 minutes soared my opinion of this hotel so we did not stay there this year. But it is a very nice property, that I would stay at in the future.
I prepared myself for a long wait at check-in, but was lucky enough to be only 15minutes and this was at 3pm. Stayed in the Celebrity Spa room, which we got for a steal. We had no problems with noise (thank goodness). The walk from the elevator was a trek, but not enough to get too pissed at. Room was clean and housekeeping always kept things nice. The ONLY problem was the stupid shower head. The water pressure was ridiculous, especially if you have princess and the pea skin, which I do. So I couldn't take long showers. The large jacuzzi made up for it :-)
Stayed before after the "new" branding. Call me strange, but I really liked the Egyptian theme. Now it is upgraded with new bars etc. The Jacuzzi spa room in the pyramid is large and looking out of the window above is romantic. Previously refridgerators were in the room, now according to the desk clerk, you have to request one. There are no safes and they need to update the bedding in the spa rooms. But I still love that jacuzzi...........
