Bellagio

Bellagio

Our stay was top notched from check in to check out. Although the lines were very long we did not mind, what's the rush your on vacation. The check in receptionist gave us a complimenary bottle of bubbly for our anniversay. Stayed in the Salone Suite, with turn down service and chocolates on the pillows. The casino bar made the best Lemon Drop martini that I have had in Vegas. Not every bartenders knows how to make one and just putting Lemon flavored Vodka is not all it takes. Won in the casino:-)

Golden Nugget

Golden Nugget

The property is not your typical downtown hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, the casino bar drinks are good and the slots paid us well. Very classy property and now with the new updates and features it continues to set itself apart from other downtown properties.

I love this hotel for the location and their rooms. As the sister hotel to the Bellagio, their suites are comparable without the price. No luck at their slots in all of our trips to Vegas so we no longer gamble here. Had one issue at check in, with a rude young lady who acted as if my right to ask for an upgrade was bothering her, even though their so called "directadvantage" program boast this option for booking online. She said there were no suites available at 3:10pm and not even pretending to look up room status on her computer. But after checking into our room and seeing the crappy location she gave us we called down to the front desk and spoke with a manager who in 5 minutes upgraded our room. This took a total of 15 minutes tops from lobby to our room. So what would you think?? The first 15 minutes soared my opinion of this hotel so we did not stay there this year. But it is a very nice property, that I would stay at in the future.

I prepared myself for a long wait at check-in, but was lucky enough to be only 15minutes and this was at 3pm. Stayed in the Celebrity Spa room, which we got for a steal. We had no problems with noise (thank goodness). The walk from the elevator was a trek, but not enough to get too pissed at. Room was clean and housekeeping always kept things nice. The ONLY problem was the stupid shower head. The water pressure was ridiculous, especially if you have princess and the pea skin, which I do. So I couldn't take long showers. The large jacuzzi made up for it :-)

Stayed before after the "new" branding. Call me strange, but I really liked the Egyptian theme. Now it is upgraded with new bars etc. The Jacuzzi spa room in the pyramid is large and looking out of the window above is romantic. Previously refridgerators were in the room, now according to the desk clerk, you have to request one. There are no safes and they need to update the bedding in the spa rooms. But I still love that jacuzzi...........

Orleans

Orleans

This is a fun hotel. The lounge bands always get the crowds jumping and the drinks are good. I like the casino atmosphere at night, a good crowd. Husband likes the seafood buffet on Fridays. Nice break from the strip.

Westgate Las Vegas

Westgate Las Vegas

Stayed because of Star Trek Next Generation. Loved the whole thing. Our room was a Hilton room. Service, drinks and the casino were very good. Ate at Quarks. Shame that they removed the Star Trek attraction.

M Resort

M Resort

We visited on July 15, 2009. Loved the casino, drink service was very good. Due to time we only had time to eat at the deli. The value, service and quality of the food was excellent. We did not end our gambling on the plus side, but would definately travel off strip to visit this hotel again.

El Cortez

El Cortez

Stayed in the newly remolded Cabana Suites. Nice, bright and Miami vibe.

Bally's Las Vegas

Bally's Las Vegas

Central location is a plus. Stayed in a standard king room, which neither impressed or disappointed me. No luck in the casino.

The Linq Hotel and Casino

The Linq Hotel and Casino

Stayed once in the Love Tub room. Check in and out was quick and easy. The beds were very comfortable. The large luv tub was nice. The center strip location is a plus for this hotel.

Sahara

Sahara

The Sahara rooms are simple, inexpensive and clean. The casino is a little suspect in my opinion, although I do like the new roulette game that they have. The slots stink and the cocktail waitresses are hard to find, if they even exist. We visit the Sahara out of habit on our last day in Vegas.

Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood

Stayed when it was the Aladdin Hotel. Visited the new PH, still like the Desert Passage shops. Caught the V Ultimate Variety show, it was fun. Casino paid when it was Aladdin, not so good as PH.

Plaza

Plaza

Wanted to stay one night downtown before heading to the strip. Not a bad experience. Room was nothing fancy and hotel staff was courteous. Check in was easy and pleasant.

Silverton

Silverton

Have never stayed at the Silverton, but never miss a trip off strip to this casino. It is a very nice casino. The bartender we had was very generous with the alcohol:-) They have that cool aquarium where you can watch them feed the fish and the Bass Pro Shop.
