For people watching, excess and spectacle, Las Vegas is the best. Every trip is a unique experience.

A great place for couples. Lake Como, Italy theme. Dancing fountains. Floral conservatory is updated every season. $100 million Dale Chihuly art glass ceiling in the lobby. One of the best Cirque shows, O is performed here on an indoor lake. Great restaurants including Picasso, Le Cirque, and Olives. Elegant pool.
Newer hotel. Rooms are huge and beds are comfortable. Palazzo is attached to the Venetian and the Sands Convention Center. Good location near Wynn and Fashion Show Mall. Probably great for conventioneers and older couples. Palazzo just seemed to lack the same exciting vibe I get at Wynn, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, or Mirage. Still one of the nicest places to stay if the price is right.
A good place for couples. Loved the Polynesian theme, lush folliage, tropical pool, volcano, white lions and dolphins. Both shows are spectacular. Love is my all-time favorite, and Terry Fator is hilarious. Don't let the puppets fool you; Fator puts on a great show. The sandwiches at Carnegie Deli are huge - pig out or split one with a friend.
A fun place to party. MGM's Lazy River Pool is the best free pool party in Las Vegas; I've seen many hilarious bachelor / bachelorette parties here. KA is a good show. The stage is amazing and the performers are incredible athletes. CSI Experience is fun. MGM Grand has some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas. Joel Robuchon is the best of the best. Guest rooms are undergoing renovation this year, and all rooms should look new in 2012.
Used to be the happening place in Vegas: Playboy Club, Ghostbar, Rain, and Moon all had excellent views of the Las Vegas Strip. Only Ghostbar and Moon remain open. The Palms boasts some of the best restaurants in town, and the best video poker and slot machine odds near the Strip. Stayed in the Fantasy Tower. Hoping that new ownership will revitalize this classic hotel.
The fanciest hotel in downtown Las Vegas. Golden Nugget has a great pool and a slide with sharks swimming behind fiberglass walls. Freemont Street Experience light show is just outside the hotel. Within a five minute walk, there are a dozen casinos with better odds than you can usually find on the Strip. Carson Tower rooms are standard with old furniture. Rush Tower rooms are newer. Every room comes with a bathtub and a safe. Biggest downside is you need a car to get to the Strip.
A fun place to party. Tons of energy provided by a younger crowd. Fun roller coaster - especially at night. Saw Zumanity and it was a great show. Fun bars in a Greenwich village atmosphere. Loved the theme here. NYNY casino is Vegas kitsch at its best. Good sushi at Chin Chin. Good pizza at Sirrico's. Good coffee shop fare at Americas. Loved the decor and comfort of our Park Avenue room. Biggest downside was the small and uninspired pool.
A nice place for couples. Girls love this hotel. The indoor decor is French cobblestone village with boutique shops. Mon Ami Gabi is a great French bistro overlooking the Strip. The bathrooms have separate showers and bathtubs and two sinks. Furniture is old, and there's a little wear and tear in the basic rooms. Pool is okay, but not great.
A fun place to party on a budget. Voodoo Lounge boasts an outside dance floor with a spectacular view of the Strip. The pool is small here, unless you pay extra to enjoy the larger pool at Rio's Bikini Beach Party. Guest rooms at Rio are large, but the furniture is old. All rooms include bathtubs and safes and refrigerators. Rio offers continuous free shuttle service to Bally's and Harrahs on the Strip until 1 am. Penn and Teller perform a comedy magic show here that makes fun of other magicians' lame tricks.

I appreciate it. And I'd stick to pissing in the sink, too.
